I can’t explain it but I feel so blessed to see deer. I try to capture them without disturbing them. As poet Mary Oliver says “I have gone every day to the same woods, not waiting exactly, just lingering. Such gifts bestowed, can’t be repeated. If you want to talk about this come to visit. I live in the house near the corner, which I have named Gratitude.” Two deer I saw on Goose Lake Road. #deer#gemlakemn #gooselakeroad #onlyinminnesota#maryoliver — in Gem Lake, Minnesota.

I feel the same way Betty, there is just something so beautiful about deer. I know a lot of people in the US feel quite differently about them as they can be pesky in the garden, but if I had a garden I would most certainly welcome them.

Hi Laura – I agree with you – there is something so mystical and beautiful about deer. I love to come across them and quietly take photos without disturbing them too much. There are a lot of people in the US who don’t appreciate them but I agree with you that if I had a garden I would welcome them too! Take care and thanks for the nice comment.
