I love that moment when you are surprised with a photo you love. A few years back, I did a lot of nature photography and I took some very nice photos. Not perfect but many said I had a “good eye” and there were moments I could see a photo in my mind and capture it. These days my passion for photography has diminished but that’s okay. There was a reason for such a solitary endeavor and now I have moved to other endeavors. But I’ll always have those photos and there will occasionally be moments I’ll take a photo I like. I came across this deer in a somewhat residential area, but she was in a little tree filled area and we looked at each other calmly before she slipped in to the woods. It’s always been one of my favorites. The layers of color and light and the look in her eyes. #augustbreak2018 #deer #photography #ilove
I love this gentle scene of these deer. I spot them once in awhile in a special place and there is always one looking at me intently. Not afraid. Just looking and taking me in as I take her in.
My favorite sort of photo. A quiet, little bird on a gray day. The colorful birds are magnificent and a thrill to see – but the little sparrows (in this case a Junco) always touch my heart and calm me.
Meet Diego – my daredevil, dumpster diving friend. Prince of the Coffey Hall Dumpster. He had the temerity to just simply stare at me while enjoying his latest score (looks like a piece of wheat bread – possibly whole wheat) while I was shooting him. He knows he owns this dumpster. This is his turf. I think for his birthday I’ll toss in a cherry cupcake with white icing and sprinkles – really blow his mind. #diegothesquirrel #saintpaulcampus
